Congratulations to our first ever winner of our commemorative jog-a-thon t-shirt design contest! All students who raised $50 will receive one of the shirts after Thanksgiving break. The LCPS Foundation, Inc. thanks everyone who donated items for the Care Kits for Kids today and a special thanks to our Board Members who generously dedicated their Saturday morning to make a difference for our area High School students. Huge appreciation also goes to Walmart of Las Cruces for hosting the LCPS Foundation, Inc. and making donations at each location!






A couple of our student artists chosen to showcase their work at the Doña Ana County building until March. Stop by and see it if you are in the area.




Columbia's altar for Día de los muertos with ofrendas made by Mrs. Perez and Ms. Murillo's Language & Culture students with the help of Mrs. Lopez, Ms. Mary, Ms. Carrasco, and Mrs. Berry. Also, the cempasúchil flowers were made in art with Ms. Araiza and 1st grade.




Congratulations to our 1st and 2nd place decorate a pumpkin contest winners. Such a great job by all the students. Thank you again Mrs. Berry for sponsoring this event.


Had a great morning at our jog-a-thon today and it was wonderful weather for all the outdoor fun! Thank you Centennial Student Government and football team for your help! If you still have money packets, please send them as soon as possible with your child.











Our librarian, Mrs. Berry, had lots of entries for her first decorate a pumpkin with your favorite book contest. Stay tuned tomorrow to see who wins!





Last night, LCPS families were invited to the Superintendent's meet and greet to discuss his 90-day plan, educational goals, and concerns. The meeting was held in Spanish, more than 35 parents attended.

Going to be a bit chilly this week with morning temperatures in the high 30s to the low 40s. Make sure your child dresses accordingly. To avoid lost jackets, please make sure your child's name is clearly written in it.


Tuesday is Halloween, but please don't wear costumes or bring candy to school. We had our costume day this past Friday.


Just 3 more days until our Jog-a-thon. Keep getting those donations in cash and online. Make sure to bring your cash donations back to school on Wednesday! Parents interested in helping count money, please contact your child's teacher.

Friday, October 27 is Put a Scare or Boo to Drugs: Wear Your Costume! No masks, face paint, or weapons please!


You're cordially invited for the Las Cruces Public Schools 2023 Marching Band Exhibition tonight at 7pm at the LCPS Field of Dreams.
The event is free and open to the public and will feature the field show performances of our four comprehensive high schools as well as recognition of seniors of the class of 2024.

Thursday, October 26 is Follow Your Dreams and Be Drug Free: Wear Your Pajamas!


Dear parents and guardians, several schools at LCPS have gone into a shelter-in-place due to lightning detected within 10 miles of our schools. Upon the occurrence of lightning at dismissal time, students who drive may be released based on principal’s discretion. All bus riders and walkers will be sheltered until the area is deemed safe. If you are picking up your child while a school is sheltering in place due to weather, you may do so at your own risk.
