Las Cruces Public Schools is proud to recognize the semi-finalists and finalists for the campus employees of the year award. Families, friends, and colleagues came together on April 3, to celebrate teachers and educational support personnel of year nominated from each campus, including central office. The celebration of recognition for campus staff was held at the Las Cruces Convention Center.

There are three categories for the employees of the year celebration. Fellow educators and staff nominated teachers, educational support staff, and most recently, principals at the campus level to receive the recognition for campus employees of the year.

After a series of interviews with the nominees from each school, a committee comprised of educators and district staff were tasked with selecting the campus employees of the year from each school and building site. District leaders recognized each employee nominated from their school during the celebration for campus employees of the year. Please see the list of campus employees of the year in alphabetical order by school.

The committee narrowed the pool of campus employees of the year down to ten semi-finalists from each category. LCPS is proud to announce the top ten semi-finalists, please see below:

From there, the list of finalists dwindled down in each category to the top three finalists for the district. The finalists for teacher of the year and educational support personnel of the year are as follows:

The teacher of the year, educational support personnel of the year, and principal of the year for Las Cruces Public Schools will be announced during the Celebration of Excellence dinner at the Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum on April 26.
